Put on Dynafit's new Hoji Free 110 alpine touring boot - lock it into ski mode, be very impressed - unlock it into tour mode, be blown away. This is truly a one boot to rule them all type boot. It skis like an alpine boot and walks uphill like a ski mountaineer race boot. The newest member of Dynafit’s award winning Hoji family, this boot has all of the same features, performance, materials and construction of the Hoji Free 130 but with a progressive 110 forward flex rating.
This is the boot that many of us have been waiting for. There are slashers and chargers out there that stomp forty foot cliffs and slash AK faces in three turns. Those of us that do not charge quite as hard as Eric Hjorleifson, have been salivating at the functionality, fit and utility of the Hoji Free in a boot we can actually flex into a turn.
Just like its burley sibling, the Hoji 110 has full heel and toe compatible bails, and updated forward lean, and can be used with any Alpine MNC plated binding as well as any Alpine Touring binding on the market. The Hoji Free 110 uses a combination of Grilamid and Fiberglass to give the boot a progressive 110 flex similar to that of an alpine boot. The Hoji ultra lock strap gives you the ability to quickly change from walk mode to send mode and back again with just the flick of the heal latch. The final addition to the Hoji Free 110 is the added spoiler that can be removed to change the forward lean from 17 degrees to 11 degrees.
The Hoji Free 110 has a slightly narrower fit like the 130 and features a new thermo moldable liner and footbed designed by the experts at Sidas exclusively for the Hoji Free line. As with all of Dynafit touring boots, the Hoji free features a Pomoca rubber sole to allow any skier to travel over mixed terrain with ease. Pick your stiffness and know that the Hoji Free will really ski as good or better than your alpine boot and then allow you to drive a stick shift back home wearing them!
